Rumour: Zelda: Wind Waker HD, Twilight Princess HD and Metroid Prime Trilogy still on their way to Nintendo Switch

After E3 2021, the truth is that insiders haven’t been very vocal about Nintendo’s future plans. We could know it recently in relation to Nintendo Switch Pro and now it seems to be the same with the plans for the 35th anniversary of the franchise.

While a few days ago VGC’s Andy Robinson posted the message you have here implying that Wind Waker HD and Twilight Princess HD would indeed be coming to Nintendo Switch after stating in February this year that they would be “100%” coming to the console, he has now offered more news. These have been shared after Nintendo stated that it has no further plans for the 35th anniversary of the series.

After rectifying his words by saying that “predicting the dates is a blind guess and I shouldn’t have used 100%”, he has now warned fans that they should “sit tight”. He adds that it wouldn’t make sense to announce these two Zelder titles just as Skyward Sword HD is set to launch in a few days’ time.

But he’s not alone in his assurances: Games Beat’s Jeff Grubb also reiterates this idea, saying that it wouldn’t be the first time Nintendo has pre-ordered finished games, and adds in the video below (minute 42) that Metroid Prime Trilogy for Nintendo Switch could be another example: “I’m not 100% sure, but I’m pretty sure,” he says.
