It’s no surprise to anyone that The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild 2 is one of the most anticipated games of the moment, and that means it’s one of the games in The Legend of Zelda franchise that is generating the most theories from fans, more specifically about what could happen in this new title that will be released on Nintendo Switch in 2022.
Well, today we bring you a new theory from an article in the gaming media outlet Screenrant, in which they talk about how Breath of the Wild 2 could benefit from Link and Princess Zelda’s relationship, although before we go any further we’d like to point out that this theory contains spoilers from 2017’s first game.
And, in their article, they relate that much of the plot of the first game, already consists of the feelings that the princess felt towards the hero (and how these evolve), but unfortunately they never got to confess, so the relationship of these two characters remained completely in the air.
Screenrat believe that with the arrival of the new title, tentatively known as Breath of the Wild 2, this could soon change, especially considering the true ending of the first game, where the hero and the princess appear together in an empty field, so they believe that the next game will focus more on their love relationship as do other games in the franchise like Skyward Sword, or third party games like Final Fantasy X with the relationship of Tidus and Yuna.
