We have a surprising rumour related to the popular Donkey Kong franchise. It seems that a new animated Donkey Kong project could be on the way.
Following rumours that the team behind Super Mario Odyssey, Nintendo EPD, was working on a new title, now leaker Zippo, who has correctly leaked information from Nintendo in the past, has claimed that this IP will be transformed into a multimedia project.
Apparently, it would be an expansion of this series with a new animation, the Donkey Kong-inspired Super Nintendo World theme park part (which seems to be all but confirmed) and merchandise. We leave you with the published message:

Donkey and company aren’t just getting a new game, they’re getting an animation (before this went down in flames, my sources didn’t specify if it was a movie or a series, just that an animation with DK characters was beginning development) a major theme park expansion, merchandise, etc. This new game isn’t just a one-off, DK is being taken seriously by the Nintendo again, and that should be good news for fans everywhere.
