One of the things that fans of Animal Crossing: New Horizons have been demanding for a long time is a major content update to improve or fix some of the shortcomings that the title currently presents.
One of them is the absence of several characters that we saw in other installments of the series, such as Captain, who in Animal Crossing: New Leaf for Nintendo 3DS took us on his boat to an island where we could enjoy all kinds of mini-games with our friends.
Well, recently there is speculation about an imminent summer update that could include this character and new features to make him useful. The user Mayor Mori has published a video about it through his YouTube channel in which he reviews three reasons why this situation should occur and finally see Captain in New Horizons:
- Implementation of a mechanic already seen in Animal Crossing: New Leaf in which you can go to an island with mini-games.
- Giving the dock a use: Each island in the game features its own dock, although it currently lacks utility, which is why it could be the place to meet Captain and his boat.
- Captain has recently been added to Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, which may be an indication of his upcoming appearance in the hybrid console game.
