Many of you are probably aware of the rumour that the Nintendo Switch on Phil Spencer’s shelf, which the Xbox boss showed off in several live shows, was a hint of a collaboration with Nintendo. Well, today we’ve got some interesting statements on the matter.
As far as we’ve learned, Spencer has now revealed why he has that console there. He shared the information with the Kinda Funny Gamescast podcast and it seems to be a gift from Nintendo’s president.
Here’s what he had to say:
That Switch was a gift from Nintendo. Doug Bowser and his team, obviously they’re top of mind for us, we’re both in Redmond, Washington, and it was a gift from them. I have another one that I use for gaming at home, but that was one that was given to me from the beginning when it launched. That’s it.
