Although the rumours were growing louder and faster, the announcement of the Nintendo Switch OLED Model came as a surprise to everyone. It is true that the community has been somewhat divided by its new features, and by the lack of others that were considered a priority, but the expectation for the console continues to grow.
A few days ago, some news was published in which it was specified that the creation of Nintendo Switch OLED Model would be very beneficial for Nintendo, generating more profit margins for the Japanese company.
However, today, via Twitter, Nintendo has denied this fact, stating that this statement is “incorrect”. In addition, they also wanted to make it clear that no new Nintendo Switch models are expected to be launched beyond the OLED model that is scheduled for release in October.
We also want to clarify that we just announced that Nintendo Switch(OLED Model) will launch in October, 2021, and have no plans for launching any other model at this time. (2/2)— 任天堂株式会社（企業広報・IR） (@NintendoCoLtd) July 19, 2021
