Nintendo confirms Switch OLED Model includes no CPU or RAM upgrades

Once again, we bring you a message that has been recently published and is related to the new Nintendo Switch model announced this afternoon: Nintendo Switch OLED Model.

This time, the information comes from The Verge, who has been able to confirm after contacting Nintendo that this new model does not include CPU or RAM upgrades. You can take a look for yourself below:

Aside from the new screen, this revised model includes an adjustable stand for tabletop gaming, 64GB of built-in storage (up to 32GB), a new dock with a built-in wired Ethernet port, and improved audio for tabletop or handheld gaming. Nintendo only mentions “up to 1080p via HDMI in TV mode” for the dock, so the rumoured 4K mode is not part of this OLED model.

Nintendo has confirmed to The Verge that there are no major internal changes to the CPU or memory. “Nintendo Switch (OLED model) does not have a new CPU, or more RAM, than previous Nintendo Switch models,” a Nintendo spokesperson confirms.
