After some hints that Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin would require an additional DLC in its physical version and others that it would not, we now have official confirmation from Capcom.
The company has confirmed via the official Monster Hunter Twitter account that Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin does not require an additional 15GB DLC as originally believed. It has only confirmed that it will have a launch update that takes up 0.5GB, as we reported on the website.
It seems to have been a printing error on the US box. This is the published message, which specifies that no additional installations are required with the physical version, that the digital version is 13.5 GB and that there will be a day 1 patch that is 0.5 GB:
