Many of you have probably read comments or even thought yourself that Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 is similar to Majora’s Mask. Well, today we’ve got a statement on the matter.
Nintendo has confirmed that there is in fact no direct link to the 2000 classic. It adds that Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 will have its own identity.
The information came from Nintendo’s Bill Trinen in a recent interview with IGN. Here’s what he shared:
I would say that’s an easy comparison or conclusion to jump to at this point, just given what’s been shown so far and given the nature of it being a direct sequel… So I understand that people are coming to that conclusion but at the same time, and I don’t want to get too deep into it, in this case it’s a game of its own.
I think as we start to show a little bit more of the game over the next few months into next year, it will probably start to become a little bit more apparent where this game is and what makes it so unique.
