Little by little we are learning more and more details about Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope. Today we get some interesting information from Multiplayer.it, who recently interviewed some of the people behind the game.
Specifically, developers Davide Soliani and Cristina Nava have been in charge of offering these details focused mainly on the development of this new release, which as you know will arrive exclusively on Nintendo Switch in 2022. Firstly, they confirmed that the original development team of 100 people is now almost three times bigger and this will allow for a freer exploration system for players.
They add that the in-game character team now has no limits and we will be able to use only Mario characters or only Rabbids if we want to throughout the different stages and battles, which is something fans have been asking for. The range of movement of each character within each battle has also been reduced, which is possible due to the greater scope of the project that they have been able to offer this time after the success of Kingdom Battle.
Finally, they have also confirmed that the game will offer free camera movement throughout and that, although exploration is less linear, they cannot define it as an open world game. However, they hope to offer more freedom to players with the implemented mechanics.
