Everything shared about EA’s rumoured revival of this important IP

Now that EA has an event coming up, it seems some rumours are circulating about what they have in mind for the future. Here we bring you all the details on this rumour that has been picking up steam in the last few hours from insiders and various websites.

It would be a resurrection of the sci-fi horror series Dead Space as a “reinvention” of the series by Motive Studios. It could be coming to Nintendo Switch according to YouTuber Doctre81, who is basing this on a job listing posted last February where it was mentioned that EA was looking for a rendering engineer to work on a “beloved and revered” IP and that this person would have experience with multiple platforms, including Nintendo Switch. Furthermore, it was also mentioned that the project should be developed on the Frostbite Engine. Remember that Nintendo Switch has already received the first game with this engine: Plants Vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville, so it wouldn’t be surprising to see another one.

Considering that the Dead Space series did come to Nintendo consoles with Dead Space: Extraction for Wii in 2009 and that EA has shown quite a bit of support for Nintendo Switch in recent years, we may eventually see something. However, we’ll have to keep an eye out for more official details.
