SkywardSwordHD pic.twitter.com/cK2rnFtvjk
Unlike previous Legend of Zelda games, the way the sword is wielded is crucial in this game. Take the Babas Deku for example. To kill them, you have to swing your sword in the same direction as the opening of their mouth. Creativity and intuitive controls are the keys to The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword’s combat system.

#SkywardSwordHD pic.twitter.com/FNNXtXpfJm
One of the techniques you can use in the game is the Heavenly Beam. If you hold the sword up, power builds up in the blade, and you can cast a Heavenly Strike by waving it around. This can be used for ranged attacks, but also for chaining special moves.
As a reminder, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD will be released on July 16 on Nintendo Switch, in both physical and digital formats. And it won’t be arriving alone, as special Joy-Con and a new Zelda and Loftwing amiibo (known as Pelicaro in English) have also been announced and will be released alongside the game on the same day. The figure can be used to travel between the surface and the sky in the game, including inside dungeons and buildings.
