Lenovo announces new Android tablet that doubles as a handheld device for Nintendo Switch

It’s certainly strange to talk about Lenovo on Nintenderos, but their most recent announcement is directly related to Nintendo Switch. You can see it simply by looking at the image above.

It features its new Android tablet known as the Yoga Pad Pro, with a 13-inch 16:10 LCD display with 2K resolution, a Snapdragon 870 chipset, 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage along with a 10,200mAh battery. These features aside, it’s worth noting that its micro HDMI port allows you to connect a Nintendo Switch and play titles as if the console were in a dock.

In fact, the tablet can connect any device with HDMI output. However, it is striking that in the promotional image they have chosen a Nintendo Switch console with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. It shows their interest in the success of Nintendo’s hybrid platform.

The device will be launched in Chinese shops for 3,299 yuan (approximately $517) on 31 May and so far has no western date.
