Here’s why you won’t see any Legendary or Singular Pokémon New Pokémon Snap

Many Pokémon trainers have traded in their Poké Ball for a camera to explore the beautiful scenery of New Pokémon Snap. However, one thing that has caused a degree of frustration among fans is that it is not possible to photograph legendary Pokémon during the game’s main storyline. We’ll have to wait for the post-game.

According to our colleagues at Screen Rant, this seems to be motivated by making encounters with these creatures more rare and special, as well as providing an incentive to complete the main story of New Pokémon Snap. Unlike other Pokémon titles, where encounters with the legendaries were interspersed with the main story, in New Pokémon Snap we must complete the main story before encountering them, except for one, Xerneas, which appears before the credits roll.

The rest of the available Legendaries and Singulars (Shaymin, Mew, Celebi, Ho-Oh, Lugia, Suicune, Diancie, Manaphy and Jirachi) will appear after completing the main story and will require our observation and research skills to get the dream snapshot, which is no easy task in any of the cases.
