While we have already seen many copies and plagiarism attempts to cash in on the Animal Crossing: New Horizons boom, here we bring you an example that is all too blatant.
This one has recently been found in the official Microsoft Store, where a game for PC and mobile devices titled Animal Crossing: New Horizons appears. It’s a title developed by HugoStudioLab that costs £2.49 / $2.99 and even uses images from the Nintendo Switch title to promote itself.
As you can imagine, the game has nothing to do with the Nintendo title and is more like Crossy Roads: “Animal Crossing New Horizons: An animal farm has let its animals escape. Help them cross the city without getting run over. – 5 different characters. – Increasing difficulty. – High score table”, we can read in its description.
These are some of the screenshots it shows:
No doubt a move that will soon be noticed by Nintendo, we believe.
