POKEMON COMPANY CONFIRMS BUG WITH ISLE OF ARMOR POKEDEX NOT RECOGNIZING TRANSFERRED POKEMON, FIX IN THE WORKS

As they played through the Isle Of Armor DLC for Pokemon Sword And Shield, players began discovering something very annoying about the Isle Of Armor Pokedex, which the Pokemon Company has now confirmed to be a bug.

The bug in question is that the Isle Of Armor’s new Pokedex does not register Pokemon transferred via Pokemon HOME as part of dex completion. This means that in order to finish the Isle Of Armor pokedex, players would have to complete it manually by capturing wild and evolving wild Pokemon. This was of course quite annoying to some players who already had all these Pokemon stored up in HOME.

Although originally assumed to be a “feature”, the Pokemon Company has since confirmed that its an unintended bug. Furthermore, a a patch is in the works to correct the bug and allow transferred Pokemon to be registered in the Isle of Armor dex.

You can check out the Pokemon Company’s full statement about the issue below, roughly translated from Japanese.

Thank you for always enjoying “Pokemon Sword/Shield” and “Pokémon HOME”.

We are currently confirming that the Pokémon brought from the Nintendo Switch version “Pokémon HOME” to “Pokemon Sword /Shield” may not be registered in “Isle Of Armor Pokedex”.

We are working on a fix, so please wait for a while until the fix is completed.
We apologize for any inconvenience caused.
