The Pokemon Company has announced a list of measures they are taking at all Pokemon Center and Pokemon Store locations in Japan to stop the spread of the coronavirus.
The first measure is to ensure the safety and well-being of employees and visitors.
All employees will have their temperature taken before they start work, and if their body temperature is 37.2 degrees Celsius and above, they will be sent home.
Next is how The Pokemon Company is protecting their employees from the coronavirus.
All Pokemon Center staff will have to wear surgical masks, and they will be required to wash their hands regularly, practice proper cough etiquette, and disinfect their hands with hand sanitizer regularly.
Third, all Pokemon Center events have been canceled until March 19, 2020, but depending on the situation this might extend even further.
Last but not least, The Pokemon Company has increased the frequency of cleaning the store.
For example, Pokemon Center staff will regularly disinfect places that customers regularly touch, such as the Pokemon statues.
