Sonic fans will no doubt be familiar with the prevalence of Sonic OCs (Original Characters) – which typically refer to low-effort fan characters that resemble Sonic the Hedgehog too closely.

Well, SEGA finally decided to go all-in with the meme themselves… on St. Patrick’s Day.

To celebrate the occasion, SEGA teamed up with various creators to create ‘Irish the Hedgehog‘ – the company’s very own Sonic OC with a leprechaun hat! As you might expect, he features an almost incomprehensible accent – courtesy of YouTuber Jacksepticeye.
