Today we bring you a very interesting and bizarre theory. According to insider Eclipse, the inspiration for Pokémon Scarlet and Purple may have been born when Junichi Masuda and Shigeru Ohmori visited the Nando’s restaurant chain. Mainly because the site uses the same fonts as those used by the games for their logos. In addition to this, emphasis is placed on chili peppers (the food that inspires the design of Fuecoco) and in its drinks menu there is a strong emphasis on grapes and oranges (main symbols of these new titles).
To top it off, the restaurant’s logo is a rooster. On a visit by Masuda and Ohmori to Portugal in 2016, the creatives stated that the iconic rooster from Barcelos (a city in the country) would be very interesting as a new design for a pocket creature:
Well this is self explanatory at first glance, the region inspiration is Spain/Barcelona and don't forget the "Rooster Pokémon" he wanted to create and revealed by a past interview.
