The makers of Splitgate are interested in releasing it on Nintendo Switch

It looks like the folks behind Splitgate are interested in bringing the game to Nintendo Switch. It’s a title that could end up coming to the hybrid console after its Early Access debut.

According to 1047 Games CEO Ian Proulx, the company is interested in releasing the game on Nintendo’s platform because of the accessibility it offers. He says it fits with their vision.

These were his specific words:

We haven’t started on that version, but it’s absolutely part of our vision. Part of the vision is that we want to be available on everything. We want to be available on mobile devices, Switch, by that I mean everything.

Here’s the premise and trailer:

Splitgate is a free-to-play, sci-fi themed, multiplayer shooter based on the creation of portals. This mechanic is an evolution of the FPS genre and will offer fast-paced, multi-dimensional combat. IGN has described the game as “a fusion of Halo and Portal”.
