Tekken director Katsuhiro Harada finds it difficult to get Smash Bros. director Masahiro Sakurai to visit his bar.

We bring interesting statements from Katsuhiro Harada, director of Tekken. Apparently, he has recently shown interest in having Masahiro Sakurai, director of Super Smash Bros. visit his Bar.

This bar is actually a talk show known as Harada’s Bar on YouTube. When asked which people he would like to interview on the show, Sakurai was one of his first choices. However, he adds that he sees it as very complicated.

These were his words:

Having Sakurai-san here would be the best because of [Kazuya’s] announcement. But basically, he doesn’t appear in shows like this. It’s not normal. He basically only appears in official things… at least I can ask him.

In this sense, Sakurai-san has a lot of contacts. Because he creates things with those contacts. Making [Smash Bros.] must be really hard. I got involved and felt that way. It’s a collection of… rights holders, he has a lot of rights not only for Nintendo but also for a lot of companies in the video game industry. It must be difficult, he’s in the middle of all this, so it must be difficult for him.

I can easily invite him if it’s something private. He even came to my wedding… If it’s Sakurai-san, we’d have to call Bandai Namco Studios, call my own workplace… [laughs]. They’d be confused as to why I’m calling them [laughs]… I’ll ask him.

So I was asking fans recently what questions they would ask Sakurai if they could:

Harada also mentioned that he would like to interview Capcom’s Yoshinori Ono, who is responsible for Street Fighter. However, he also points out that this is complicated by the fact that Ono is now the president of the mobile games company DelightWorks:

I’ve asked him several times. At first he said: Sure, I can go. I’ll go. But once he became president of the company [DelightWorks], I said, “If you come now, it would be a lot of fuss, right?”
