The fourth generation of Pokémon, which as most of you already know is composed of the Diamond, Pearl and Platinum releases, will soon receive their respective remakes (with the exception of the Platinum edition) on Nintendo Switch, correcting among other things one of the criticisms that was most often made of these titles, the lack of Fire-type Pokémon.
Well, Game Freak wanted to take the opportunity to “mock” this criticism of the fourth generation releases on Nintendo DS by developing Pokémon Legends: Arceus, inspired by an ancient region of Sinnoh, which at the time was called Hisui. How did they “mock” this situation? It turns out that in Diamond and Pearl there were only two Fire-type Pokémon that could be obtained from the same game without counting the starter and legendaries: Ponyta and Flareon.
Therefore, the developers seem to have placed special emphasis on Fire-type Pokémon including, for the moment, a generous amount considering how little we have been able to see currently: Cyndaquil, Growlithe, Vulpix, Ponyta, Magmar, Flareon and Chimchar. Of course, we still have many details to know about the new region of Hisui, so we will have to wait more to be able to evaluate it properly.
However, it seems that fans of the Fire-type should be congratulated.
