The fourth-generation remakes have been widely acclaimed by the Pokémon community for years, which has resulted in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl coming to Nintendo Switch this November.
Well, during the last Pokémon Presents, a good deal of news about various Pokémon games were announced, including the aforementioned Pokémon games. So here are five important facts you should know about these games below:
1. You will be able to get a Manaphy egg.
Manaphy is a unique fourth-generation Water-type Pokémon whose egg can be easily obtained in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. However, you’ll need to be among the first to purchase either game to get it, as this reward will be available for a limited time only, until 21 February 2022.
2. You will be able to select the skin tone of your character.
In the original Pokémon Diamond and Pearl for Nintendo DS, you were only allowed to be either a boy or a girl. However, The Pokémon Company has decided to go for inclusivity, as before, by giving you the option in the remakes to select the character with the skin tone you like best.
3. There will be Pokémon exclusive to each version.
As with the other games split into two separate releases, Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl will have its own exclusive Pokémon, as will Shining Pearl. If you’re interested in finding out which Pokémon are exclusive to each version.
4. These remakes could have a National Pokédex
The latest trailer showed Bidoof being recorded under the number 399, corresponding to its number in the National Pokédex, which lists all existing Pokémon. This could be an indication that Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl will include all creatures from the first to the fourth generation.
5. The Rocavelo City casino is eliminated
Following the announcement that Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl would have a PEGI 7 rating, it was confirmed at the last Pokémon Presents that the casino in Rocavelo City would be removed and replaced by a clothing shop.
