PAX West is taking place in person later this year as one of the first major video game events to be held in this way since the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic. Today we have more information about the event, which will take place in Seattle from 3-6 September.
Fans can now buy tickets and organisers appear to be stepping up security measures: attendees will be required to present proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test result, along with a government-issued ID. Masks will also be mandatory, we have learned.
“The PAX team is steadfast in our commitment to health and safety, including reduced capacity and mandatory masks to be worn at all times by attendees, exhibitors, staff and Enforcers,” the organisation shared. “We will continue to evaluate our policies, listen to community feedback, follow the guidance of public health officials and do everything in our power to make PAX West as safe as possible.
