Nintendo shares details of Link’s iconic green tunic in Zelda: Skyward Sword HD

For many gamers, when they think of Link, they think of his iconic green tunic (worn in most Zelda games to date). And it is in The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword that the “tradition” of the hero wearing green clothing was born. But how exactly did that happen?

Well, the reason is quite simple: green was the colour chosen for the uniform of the Knight Academy when Link entered. It seems that even headmaster Gaéopora was surprised by the colour!
