GungHo admits he didn’t expect Ninjala to succeed so quickly, doesn’t rule out spin-offs and more details

We bring you a new message from one of the most prominent games on Nintendo Switch, which has recently been published on YouTube. It’s about the free-to-play title Ninjala.

In the text, we can hear GungHo Online president Kazuki Morishita’s astonishment at the game’s success. Apparently, it has grown much faster than they expected.

He confirmed this in a recent meeting with VentureBeat:

The number of downloads grew much faster than we expected. That’s something we were surprised and happy about. It’s a work in progress, so the work is ongoing. We are looking to meet the expectations of our users and keep the game growing as much as possible. In June this year, we reached 7 million downloads, and the North American side has been growing the fastest of all regions.

It has been confirmed that the game is most popular in the United States. Japan, then France and finally Spain, and the president has also commented that he does not rule out spin-offs. We will have to stay tuned to see what they have to offer in the future.
