We learn what Samus and EMMI amiibo are for in Metroid Dread

You probably remember that yesterday, along with the announcement of Metroid Dread for Nintendo Switch, a couple of new amiibo for the game that will be released together on the same day as the title were also confirmed. Well, now we have been able to learn what they are for.

GameStop has listed these figures and specified their functionality in Metroid Dread. Here’s what it shares:

  • By scanning Samus’ amiibo, we can get an additional energy tank to increase your health by 100. It can be scanned once a day to receive this energy.

The EMMI enemy amiibo works in a similar way, only it gives us a missile tank, thus increasing Samus’ missile capacity by 10. It can also be scanned only once a day.
