You may well remember that Sonic Origins is on its way to Nintendo Switch as a compilation of Sonic the Hedgehog 1, 2, Sonic 3 & Knuckles and also Sonic CD. Today we’ve got word directly from Sonic Team about one of these most beloved titles for fans.
We’re talking about Sonic 3 & Knuckles. In a recent interview with Game Informer, Sonic Team boss Takashi Iizuka spoke about the return of this title, something that has been eagerly awaited by fans of the franchise as well as himself.
Here’s what he shared:
I think a lot of fans really appreciate the news that we’re including Sonic 3 & Knuckles in Sonic Origins, but I think I’m the one who’s most excited. It was the first Sonic title I worked on and it’s a title that’s very close to my heart, so having the opportunity to re-release this title after decades is something I’m really looking forward to. As the development of the title progresses, every time I look at data from Sonic 3 & Knuckles, I remember all the hard work and excitement I had when I was younger making that title. It really brings back a lot of memories.
