Interesting details about Metroid Dread continue to trickle in. In this case, it’s a really interesting message for fans of the game.
As we’ve learned, the tweet below shows the thanks of one of the game’s developers at Spanish studio MercurySteam after some fans noticed a very, very subtle fact. Apparently, when Samus is near a particular surface, she’ll put her arm on it. In the message, we can see her leaning on the wall to shoot.
This is possible thanks to a development technique known as IK or Inverse Kinematics, which makes the characters’ limbs rest on certain surfaces automatically. Here you have the publication, which has already accumulated almost 20,000 likes:
