Many of you are probably aware of the recent Nintendo Switch Pro rumours that have been circulating over the past few days. Last week they pointed to an imminent announcement of this supposed new model, while yesterday, in the absence of announcements, some insiders who had spoken out cast doubt on whether it would finally be announced before E3 as early reports had suggested.
Well, after issuing these unsure statements, some fans have accused the insiders of playing on people’s hype by claiming that the new model would be announced imminently and then saying that they no longer knew whether it would be announced so soon or not. In response, three popular insiders have posted messages defending themselves on Twitter, where they have received support from many other followers.

Why would I apologize?— Emily Rogers (@ArcadeGirl64) June 3, 2021
I said new hardware was coming.
I said there's a new Metroid being announced soon.
If neither of those things materialize, then I'll apologize.
If they get announced, you should apologize to me.
Both of those will materialize but the apology never will.— NateTheHate2 (@NateTheHate2) June 3, 2021
