On another day a new title has been announced for Nintendo’s hybrid console. QubicGames has announced Epistory – Typing Chronicles, an atmospheric action adventure game originally developed by Fishing Cactus, for Nintendo Switch.
Here’s the premise and teaser:
Epistory is an atmospheric typing adventure game that tells the story of an uninspired writer who enlists the help of her muse to write her latest book. Epistory immerses you in an atmospheric action/adventure game in which you play a girl riding a giant fox who fights an insectile corruption of an origami world. As you progress and explore this world, the story literally unfolds and the mysteries of the magical power of words are revealed.
In Epistory you play the muse, a fictional character in a world where everything is untold. Your adventure begins on a blank page, but the world will soon become bigger and livelier as you gather inspiration, solve its mysteries and defeat its enemies. From movement to opening chests and fighting epic battles, every element of the game is controlled exclusively with the keyboard.
As you progress and explore the fantasy world of origami, the story literally unfolds in the mind of the writer and the mysteries of the magical power of words are revealed.
Features:
- Explore a beautiful papercraft world: play as the muse riding a giant three-tailed fox, lost in a 3D fantasy world.
- More than just writing: solve mysterious puzzles, unlock magical powers and defeat enemies in adrenaline-pumping epic battles
- Writer’s block? Collect fragments and inspiration points to unfold the story as you explore the origami world in the writer’s head. But there’s more to the story than meets the eye…
- Adaptive Difficulty: whether your hands fly around the keyboard or you’re a slow typist, the game features a dynamic difficulty system that evolves to match each player’s skill.
- Competitive Arena Mode: challenge other players for the top spot on the arena leaderboards
- Play in your own language: game texts are localised in English, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese (Brazil), Russian and Polish with English voiceover.
