This discarded dragonfly drone would be ideal for exploring Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2

While we wait for news on Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2, we bring you a message from Twitter that has caused a furore among fans of the franchise recently.

The tweet in question shows us one of the discarded elements in the development of the first installment. It is specifically a kind of drone that Link was going to be able to use with the Sheikah Stone.

This drone was shaped like a dragonfly and could be summoned with the Sheikah Stone. It also had a sort of rotating camera that could probably have been controlled with the Wii U’s touch screen. Unfortunately this concept was scrapped, but now fans are calling for at least something similar to return in the sequel.

It could certainly be a great idea with the goal of being able to explore remote areas and see if it’s convenient to climb up to them or not, much like we can do with the remote arrows in Immortals Fenyx Rising, for example. Many fans think it could fit perfectly as a new feature in Breath of the Wild 2.
