Popular developer Jupiter announced during BitSummit Gaiden in June last year that it would be releasing Picross S: Mega Drive & Mark III Edition on Nintendo Switch, although the release window was unknown at the time. Unfortunately since then we haven’t heard anything more about it, at least until now.
Well, Jupiter has reminded fans via its Twitter account that Picross S: Mega Drive & Mark III Edition is “currently in development”. He also took the opportunity to show a promotional image of the title on the new blue Nintendo Switch Lite, matching the colour of the popular hedgehog and SEGA’s logo.

We remind you of the features of this title:
- Jupiter has chosen 59 SEGA titles and turned more than 180 characters and objects from them into Picross puzzles.
- There are four exclusive modes: Standard Picross, Mega Picross, Colour Picross and Clip Picross.
At the moment we still don’t know a concrete release date, but at least we know that the project is still in development and will be coming to the hybrid console at some point. We’ll be keeping an eye out for updates on the project.
