ANIMAL CROSSING: NEW HORIZONS POST-LAUNCH CONTENT PLANS MAY CHANGE DUE TO CORONAVIRUS CONCERNS

During the Animal Crossing Direct last month, Nintendo confirmed that Animal Crossing: New Horizons would be receiving some post-launch content in the form of seasonal events.

However, during an interview with the Washington Post, director Aya Kyogoku, and producer Hisashi Nogami revealed that although the team is still working hard on the updates, the schedule may shift should the Coronavirus situation worsen:

Kyogoku: “We’re not sure if we have to shift anything, but I think we have to be flexible”

Nogami: “In terms of the development team, I do have to think about their health and well-being as well”

Although many are looking forward to Animal Crossing: New Horizons‘ seasonal events, it shouldn’t come at the cost of the developers’ health and safety.

We will be sure to bring more updates on the situation as it comes.
